More than handing over a box
Every prescription at Light House Pharmacy is dispensed by a licensed pharmacist registered with the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon. Before your medicine leaves the counter, we check the dose, the duration, and how it fits with anything else you're taking — and we explain, in plain Arabic, English or French, exactly how to take it.
Originals and registered equivalents
Medicine prices in Lebanon can vary widely between the original brand and its registered equivalents. We stock both where available, and we'll always tell you honestly when an equivalent registered with the Ministry of Public Health can save you money — and when we'd recommend staying with the original or checking with your doctor first.
Hard-to-find medicines
Shortages happen. When your medicine isn't on our shelf, we don't shrug — we check our supplier network, and if it truly can't be found, we'll identify registered alternatives your doctor can consider. Message us the name on WhatsApp before you cross the city for it.
Chronic treatments
If you take regular medication — blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, cholesterol — we can keep your treatment on file so refills are quick, and flag you when it's sensible to see your doctor for a review.

Prescriptions at our counter
Can you suggest a cheaper equivalent to my prescribed medicine?
Yes. Lebanon's market includes many registered generic equivalents. We'll only propose one when it's registered with the Ministry of Public Health and appropriate for your prescription — and for some medicines we'll recommend confirming the switch with your doctor first.
My medicine is out of stock everywhere. Can you help?
Bring us the name or prescription and we'll check our suppliers. Availability in Lebanon changes week to week, and we often manage to source medicines or identify a registered alternative your doctor can approve.
Do I need the original paper prescription?
For controlled and prescription-only medicines, yes — regulations require a doctor's prescription. For repeat chronic treatments, ask us what applies to your specific medicine.
